NexusG8
For event organisers & event platforms

Your event ends on Sunday. Your community shouldn’t.Let every guest take the room home.

Thousands of people in one hall, and the person somebody needed to meet left on Saturday without being pointed at them. Keep your ticketing, keep your app, keep your brand. NexusG8 does the room: one scan at the door, who should meet whom while they are there, and a community that is still together on Monday.

Open now, and free to start. Your address is yours as soon as you choose it.

Going to an event? See what you take home
At the entrance of a conference evening a woman holds her phone up to a tall screen reading Scan in, Keep everyone you meet tonight, with a NexusG8 code inside a white arch, as her friends laugh beside her

The event in three screens

Put it on the screens at the door. That is the whole setup.

Three screens rotate on any TV or totem at your entrance. They tell a guest exactly what to do, why it matters, and what they walk out holding, and the code inside the gate checks them in.

Event screen one: Tonight, Scan in, Keep everyone you meet tonight, No app, no sign up, two seconds, with the code inside the gate
01 · Scan in

The instruction, and the code at its largest. No app, no sign up, two seconds.

Event screen two: You will meet 12 people tonight, you will remember 2, Unless you scan
02 · Unless you scan

What everybody privately knows about a room full of strangers, and the fix underneath it.

Event screen three: Take the room home with you, everyone who was here, who you should meet, your own address free for life
03 · Take the room home

What they walk out holding: everyone who was there, who to meet, and an address of their own.

The problem

The best part of an event is who you meet. Most of it is lost.

01

The right person left on Saturday

Two people who needed each other were in the same hall for two days, and nothing pointed one at the other.

02

A bowl of business cards

Vendors and sponsors leave with a stack of cards and a photo of a badge, and half the follow ups are never written.

03

Monday, and the community is gone

The energy of the room evaporates. Next year you start again from a ticket list and a hopeful email.

The shift

A crowd that dispersesA community that stays

Today

  • Attendance guessed from ticket sales
  • Strangers left to find each other
  • Cards in a bowl, badges photographed
  • A list nobody uses after Monday

With NexusG8

  • Check in by scan, counted on the day
  • Each guest shown three people to meet, and why
  • One scan swaps contacts, stamped with where they met
  • Everyone reachable afterwards, for the follow up and next year

What every community gets

An address, a Command Center and a live map.

The same rails every community on NexusG8 runs on, from the first day. Here is what each one means for you.

01 · Your address

One address for the event, every year.

Agenda, tickets, sponsors and the door, behind one address that does not die after the event. Sell tickets wherever you sell them now and link it: Eventbrite, Luma, a box office or a form of your own.

02 · Your Command Center

Speak to the whole room, then and after.

Room changes, a surprise speaker, the after party, next year’s dates. From your Command Center it reaches everyone who checked in, in the app and by email, and a reminder can go to those still on their way.

03 · Your live map

See who is actually in the room.

A live map of who checked in, what they offer and what they are looking for, and who should meet whom. The picture a sponsor wants, an organiser needs, and no ticketing tool has ever drawn.

Made for the room

Every guest leaves with everyone they met.

A code at the door counts who came. Inside, each guest sees three people worth meeting, worked out from what everyone offers and needs among the people actually checked in. Two guests swap contacts with one scan, stamped with where they met, and in eight months they can still find the name they half remember.

Who should meet, worked out

Not a directory: three names and why, from the people in the room right now. Hosts see the strongest pairs tonight.

A scan instead of a card

Two people both checked in swap contacts in one scan, and it is stamped “Met at” your event. Vendors and sponsors too.

The room stays together

Everyone who came is reachable afterwards from the same place, for the follow up, the recording and next year.

For event apps & ticketing platforms

We are not your competitor. We are your audience.

NexusG8 is not an event platform and will never sell a ticket. We are the layer your app was never going to build: the community around the event, before, during and after it. Event Platform Partners keep the ticket, the payment, the data they collect and their brand, and gain reach they could not buy.

Event Platform Partners

Your events, in front of every community they belong to

  • Registration stays yours, shown on every event as Powered by your app, linking straight to your checkout.
  • Your events appear on the Gates of the communities, venues and businesses that host them, and reach the people who follow those Gates.
  • Every event is tied to a real place: the venue’s Gate, the business that sponsors it, the community card that brings the crowd.
  • Check in, who should meet whom and Met at sit on top of your ticket, so your organisers get the room as well as the sale.
Community organisers

Run the night, keep the people

  • Create the event on your Community Gate, free, and link it to wherever the tickets are sold.
  • One code at the door checks guests in and shows each one three people to meet.
  • Tonight’s pairs on your screen, and one reminder to everyone still on their way.
  • Everyone who came is reachable afterwards, for the follow up, the recording and next year.

Become an Event Platform Partner

Each Event Platform Partner joins under a written agreement. We never sell tickets, never take a cut of yours, and only ever share events their community has made public.

How it works

Three steps, and you are in.

  1. 1

    Open your event’s Gate

Link your ticketing, add the agenda and print one code for the door.

  2. 2

    Check guests in by scan

Attendance is counted on the day, and the room starts pointing people at each other.

  3. 3

    Keep the room after Sunday

Follow up with everyone who came, and start next year with a community instead of a list.

Questions

Good questions.

Do attendees need to download an app?

No. It works in the browser: a scan at the door opens your event. They can add NexusG8 to their home screen if they like.

Can vendors and sponsors use it?

Yes. Each has a NexusG8 of their own: a scan swaps contacts and lands in their People, with notes.

What happens after the event?

Everyone who came stays reachable through your Community Gate, for the follow-up, the next session and next year.

Keep selling tickets where you sell them. Let us do the room.

Tell us about your event, and we will set the door up with you.
